Consular Services and Visas

Consular services are provided according to principles of equality, impartiality, efficiency and transparency. The exercise of some rights and access to some services are limited only to Italians who have registered in the Registry of Italians Resident Abroad (AIRE), mandatory according to Law no. 470 of 1988.

The Consulates ensure that all compatriots are protected in the event of violation of their fundamental rights and limitation or deprivation of their personal freedom.
