Services for the Italian citizen

On weekdays from Monday to Friday during the opening hours of the Consulate (9:00 – 18:00) you can contact the consular office on 0086 023 63316592 or send an email to chongqing.consolare@esteri.it.

On public holidays 24 hours a day and on weekdays outside the opening hours of the Consulate, in the event of a proven emergency and/or threat to the safety and security of Italian citizens, the on-call mobile number 0086 139 83 25 7845 is active.

The Consulates ensure that all compatriots are protected in the event of violation of their fundamental rights and limitation or deprivation of their personal freedom. They also ensure assistance for emergency cases, for the search for family members, for succession procedures opened abroad and for the repatriation of remains.

It should be remembered that the diplomatic-consular representations, while providing the necessary assistance, cannot support or guarantee direct payments of a private nature; only in the most serious and urgent cases, they can grant loans with a promise of repayment to compatriots who are not resident in the consular district and who are in a situation of poverty, which must, in any case, be repaid to the State after returning to Italy.
