The 26th UN Climate Change Conference (COP26), hosted by the UK in partnership with Italy, took place from 31 October to 13 November 2021 in Glasgow, UK. World leaders arrived in Scotland, alongside tens of thousands of negotiators, government representatives, businesses and civil society groups for fourteen days of talks.
2021年11月13日，COP26在格拉斯哥落下帷幕，各国签署《格拉斯哥气候公约（Glasgow Climate Pact）》，以将全球升温控制在1.5摄氏度的目标保持在可及范围内，并完成《巴黎协定》所有条款实施细则的谈判，就迫切加快气候行动达成了共识。
On 13 November 2021, COP26 concluded in Glasgow with all countries agreeing the Glasgow Climate Pact to keep 1.5C alive and finalise the outstanding elements of the Paris Agreement.

On 02 December 2021, the British Consulate-General Chongqing and the Consulate General of Italy in Chongqing jointly hosted post COP26 event “Together for our planet: digital climate solutions for future generations” to amplify COP26’s youth and public empowerment, science and innovation agenda.

The event aimed at enhancing the understanding of climate change to youths and future generations in Southwest China. In this event, digital solutions contribution to the global climate efforts have been explored to showcase the best practices of China, UK and Italy in this field. Through this event, the aim was to call on technology companies and young people’s efforts to climate actions and encourage behaviour change.

Before getting to the core of the event, the Consul General of Italy in Chongqing, Mr. Guido Bilancini, the Consul General of the UK in Chongqing, Mr. Stephen Ellison, and the Chongqing Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment, Peng Qixue gave their welcome speeches.

Alessandro Armillotta presented AWorld, a guide intended to inspire the public in learning about sustainability and take action in the fight for climate change. The App is a user-friendly application with the aim to educate all the communities on how to make small sustain- able everyday actions, and to connect people to sustainable brands, international and non-governmental organizations contributing to the different dimensions of sustainability.
“蔚蓝地图 （Blue Map）” APP 创始人
马军介绍了中国第一个公共环境数据库Blue Map，市民有机会使用实时数据来倡导社区的变革。用户可以检查当地的空气和水质，并获得来自 40,000 多家工厂的实时污染数据。数以万计的蔚蓝地图用户针对污染工厂提交了“微报告”，其中几千余大规模排放者被公开处理他们的违规记录。
Ma Jun introduced Blue Map, China’s first public environmental database, giving citizens the opportunity to use real time data to advocate for change in their communities. Users can check local air and water quality and get real-time pollution data from more than 40,000 factories. Tens of thousands of “micro-reporting” has been filed by Blue Map users against polluting factories and thousands of some of the largest emitters in China have been motivated to openly address their violation records.
