The Consulate General of Italy in Chongqing is pleased to present the calendar of events and other activities planned in this Consular District on the occasion of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World 2023.
Born from an initiative of the Italian Government, the Cooking Week, now in its eighth edition, is carried out worldwide by the diplomatic-consular network of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, involving all the actors public and private sectors that represent Italian cuisine in the world: national and regional institutions, ICE Agency, ENIT, universities, chambers of commerce, trade associations, cooking schools, networks of certified Italian restaurants and operators in the food and wine sector. The event aims to enhance the rich Italian food and wine tradition through events and promotional activities of various kinds created by the diplomatic-consular network of the Farnesina, in collaboration with public and private actors representing Italian cuisine, in over 100 countries around the world.
The theme chosen for this year’s edition is “At the table with Italian cuisine: well-being with taste”.
